Update: Video

I’m back with a brand new tutorial on how to add a gradient style on the text in GIMP. Also, please don’t forget to leave a comment, join my blog, and spread the word. Now, let’s get started!

1.) Add and type in your text just as you normally would.

2.) Duplicate your text layer.

3.) Select your duplicated text layer.

4.)  Right click on the layer and click on Text to Selection.

5.) Select your gradient tool and set your gradient settings.

6.) Make sure your text layer is still selected and the text itself as well. Now, add your gradient.

7.) Once done, go to the menu to Select –> None.

Now, you have a gradient effect. I hope this helps and don’t forget to comment and join my blog. So, see you guys later!
