GIMP Tutorial – How to Cut Out Unique Shapes

‘Morning!

I’m back with a brand new tutorial on how to cut out unique shapes in GIMP. By the way, don’t forget to leave a comment and to join my my blog to keep up with the latest tutorials and reviews from SilentsTech. Now, let’s get started!

1.) Open your image.

2.) Select the layer you want to cut the shape from.

3.) Go to your Toolbox and select the Paths Tool.

4.) Now make a path around your shape.

5.) When you need to add just one more path, press Enter on your keyboard to complete the path instead.

6.) Go to the menu and click on Edit –> Copy. Or just do Ctrl + C on your keyboard.

7.) Go to the menu and click on Edit –> Paste as. Then, select how you want to paste it as. Just don’t press Ctrl + V on your keyboard.

8.) Click on how you want to paste your selection as. For me, I pasted it as a New Image.

Your’re shape is now completely cut! I hope this tutorial helps you guys! See you later!
